👩🔬 Meet Your Guide: Dr Emma Pilgrim
Hi! I’m Dr Emma Pilgrim, FRSA – ecologist, mum, and founder of Bearing Fruit, a space where people of all ages can explore and deepen their connection with the natural world.
My award-winning research into sustainable food-growing methods has led to invitations to join Academia.Net (a network of excellent female researchers) and the RSA (Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce).
I’m passionate about helping families grow food in ways that work around the curiosity, chaos and creativity of everyday life so that we and nature can thrive. I love blending ancient wisdom with modern science to support health, wellbeing, and the planet. I’ve experimented with forest gardening, mixed planting, and keeping chickens alongside edible crops — all in my family garden.
Through this course, I’ll be sharing the five simple steps that helped me create a growing space that works for my family—and that supports our local wildlife too.
