Pines Café is open to the public, welcoming regulars and new guests who may be here for lunch, a light bite, drink or piece of cake.
We can cater for larger groups and private parties too – whether you want to eat and drink here, or are passing through. If you would like to know more, please just contact us.

Pines Café & Visitor Centre is the place to start your visit to the Pines Garden (and end it, too!). It connects the work of the Bay Trust, the story of the Pines Garden, and the heritage of St Margaret’s.
EAT HYPER-LOCAL
As we grow numerous varieties of fruit and veg in Pines Garden, it is quite natural for us to serve it too.
You might find anything from fennel to beetroot, quince to lettuce as part of the menus available in both Pines Café and Pines Calyx. Sometimes we sell our produce direct (especially when there is more than we can use in a short period of time) and supply some nearby community projects too.
We work also with a good number of growers and producers within a 30 mile radius, and use some foraged ingredients too.
Many of our visitors come simply to enjoy Pines Café, and might not venture anywhere else on site! We serve cakes, tea, coffee, light lunches and much more besides – all homemade, or created here, too. We can also cater for special events – parties, events that are “just passing through” etc. – and if you would like to know more then please just get in touch.
If you are hiring The Pines Calyx for a meeting, training course or other event then we are able to cater using the kitchen there. We can offer a range of menus, including exclusively plant-based, for events involving ten persons or more.
